Proposals for Changes to Electrical Interconnection Expected at Cabinet Meeting
September 14, 2024
Next Tuesday, the Ministry of Energy will present regulatory change proposals for electrical interconnection to the Cabinet. The cost of this interconnection is still not finalized, with the Government seeking guarantees for potential increases. The French company Nexans claims that the €1.4 billion contract is well-studied and leaves little room for significant overruns. The Government stated that additional costs will not be borne by citizens if the project is delayed beyond 2030.
