Residency of Foreign Nationals in Cyprus: Professional and Family Reasons

In 2023, most third-country nationals obtaining residency permits in Cyprus do so for professional reasons, accounting for 48.6% of issued permits. Family reasons follow with a 24.7% share. Despite a decrease in residency permits compared to 2022, Cyprus ranks second in the EU for the highest number of issued permits per 1,000 population.
