Developments in Corruption Cases in Cypriot Sports

Since 2021, the Ethics and Sports Protection Committee has referred 30 corruption cases in Cypriot sports, with several expected to reach court soon. The Cyprus Sports Organization is working on cleansing the sector by removing sports rights from those found guilty. The establishment of a National Ethics School is also planned to teach Olympic values to the youth. The chairman of the committee emphasizes the importance of integrity in combating corruption.
