Trial of Archimandrites Facing Serious Charges

Today, Archimandrites Nektarios and Porfyrios appear before the Criminal Court facing serious charges including conspiracy, theft, and tax evasion. The two defendants are facing 19 charges and are expected to plead not guilty. Nektarios has additional charges, including illegal possession of stolen property. The charges relate to the embezzlement of funds from the Abakum Monastery and other churches.
