Cyprus: A Center for Repatriation and Humanitarian Aid

October 7, 2024

Cyprus has become a hub for the repatriation of foreign citizens from Lebanon and Israel, with military aircraft from ten countries stationed at its airports. Cypriot authorities are on high alert and have implemented plans for humanitarian assistance and the reception of refugees in response to the regional situation. Repatriation efforts are expected to progress if conditions worsen, especially if mass refugee arrivals occur. The MED9 summit in Paphos will also address the refugee crisis stemming from the conflict in the Middle East.
