High Electricity Prices and Taxes in Cyprus

Cyprus ranks among the countries with the highest electricity prices in the EU. In the first half of 2024, the average prices for residential consumers reached 32.74 cents per kWh, while for non-residential consumers it was 24.5 cents per kWh. Taxes and other charges contribute to these high prices. Across Europe, electricity prices differ significantly between member states.
