Establishment of Debt Registry in Cyprus

A new debt registry for individuals and legal entities is set to be established, funded by the EU. Any debt, regardless of amount, will be recorded to assist in the accurate documentation of public and private debts. The aim of the registry is to enhance authorities' ability to design strategies for debt prevention and management. The process is expected to be completed by April 2025.
