Overview of Retirement Ages in the EU and Cyprus

There is a retirement inequality within the European Union, as citizens have significantly different ages at which they can retire. In Cyprus, the retirement age is set at 65, aligning with many other EU countries. Eurostat reported that in recent decades, reforms have been introduced to reduce disparities in retirement ages and between genders.
