Regulation for Car Recalls Due to Defective Airbags

The Cypriot Parliament is moving forward with regulation for car recalls due to deaths and risks from defective airbags. The Minister of Transport will have the power to determine the recall process, aiming for the law to be enforced by February 2025. Responsible parties will collaborate to find solutions to minimize public inconvenience. Meanwhile, proposals for safely deactivating or removing problematic airbags will be examined.
