New Legislation for Universal Charger in the European Union

December 28, 2024

From today, all manufacturers of electronic devices in the European Union are required to equip their products with a USB Type-C charging port. This legislation aims to reduce environmental waste and facilitate consumers by allowing only one charger for multiple devices. It is expected to decrease purchase costs and technological waste. Additionally, there will be a standardization of fast charging requirements, enabling users to charge devices at the same speed using any compatible charger.
