Completion of Investigation into Cyprus-Crete Interconnection

The Audit Office is concluding a lengthy investigation into the Cyprus-Crete interconnection, initially with EuroAsia Interconnector and currently with ADMIE. The findings will be delivered to the Auditor General and may be sent to the European Prosecutor's Office for further investigation if deemed necessary. The investigation covers the involvement of political figures and the use of European funding. Further updates are expected by the end of January.
