Elderly couple dies from fire caused by carbon monoxide exposure

An elderly couple from Limassol died from carbon monoxide inhalation after a fire broke out in their home. The fire was caused by a short circuit in an overloaded power strip, and smoke spread rapidly throughout the house. Despite rescue efforts from the fire department and ambulance crew, both succumbed to the fumes. The couple had serious health issues, which prevented them from escaping in time.
