In 2023, two banking executives in Cyprus received total compensation of €1.37 million, according to a report from the European Banking Authority. The number of banking executives in Europe earning over €1 million increased by 5.2% compared to 2022. In Cyprus, the average total compensation per individual was €1,088,121, with most high earners coming from the banking sector. Notably, the number of six-figure earners in investment banking in Cyprus was not included in the report.
