The Need to Acknowledge Realities in the Cyprus Issue

The Turkish Foreign Minister stated that searching for a solution to the Cyprus issue that does not consider current realities is a waste of time. He argued that the two communities in Cyprus should cooperate as two separate states. He also mentioned that other solutions have been tried without success, and life continues as normal. He referred to Cyprus as the 'island of God' and emphasized that after a two-state solution, there would be development in the region.
