Decline in Cypriot Students' Performance in TIMSS 2023

Cypriot students' performance in the TIMSS 2023 survey showed a decline in Mathematics and Science, with drops of 16 and 24 points compared to 2019. Average scores remain above the international average, but concerns about the educational process post-pandemic linger. For the first time, Cyprus also participated in the ICILS survey, related to digital skills. The Minister of Education emphasized the need for changes in the education system.
