Investigation of GeSY Physician for False Entries

The Cyprus police are investigating serious allegations against a well-known physician affiliated with GeSY, concerning false entries of services in the system. The complaint was made by the Health Insurance Organization (OAY) after checks showed the doctor was billing for services that were never provided. The case has been forwarded to the Criminal Investigation Department, depending on the outcome of the investigations. If sufficient evidence is found, the case may proceed to the District Court of Nicosia.
