Installation of New Generators at Dekelia is Necessary

The installation of new generators at the Dekelia station is necessary for the safety of the electricity system in Cyprus. The Ministry of Energy and the Electricity Authority agree that they should proceed with evaluating offers for maintenance and renewal of equipment. Social and technical factors make complete reliance on the Vasilikos unit challenging. However, delays in implementing collaborative projects by authorities complicate the situation further.
