Enhancing Marine Life in the Larnaca Area
March 15, 2025
Five years after the sinking of two ships in the Marine Protected Area of Larnaca, the first positive results are already visible as the area begins to regenerate. With the recent sinking of the Lambousa II, the area now covers 2.2 square kilometers, providing diving interest. The artificial reefs enhance marine life and offer spaces for the development and protection of marine organisms. These initiatives contribute to the improvement of fish stocks.
