Simplification of Banking Processes for Employees and Pensioners Starting June 2025

Starting June 2025, Cyprus will implement a new directive simplifying banking processes for employees and pensioners, reducing the strictness previously applied to them. Banks will maintain strict measures only for high-risk clients, while low-risk clients, such as pensioners, will benefit from simplified requirements. The Central Bank encourages citizens to submit complaints and issues to improve these processes. The aim is to maintain financial stability while ensuring access to financial services for citizens.
