Prison Sentences for Usurping Greek Cypriot Properties

The Criminal Court of Nicosia imposed heavy sentences on two Hungarian women who pleaded guilty to charges of usurping properties belonging to Greek Cypriots. The first was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison, while the second received a 15-month sentence. The crimes relate to properties that have been under occupation since 1974. There are currently four similar cases pending in the courts.
