Allegations of Sexual Abuse Cover-Up by the New Pope
May 10, 2025
The Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests (SNAP) criticized the new Pope Robert Prevorst before his election, urging him to establish a global zero-tolerance law for sexual abuse. Accusations include covering up abuse cases, notably the case of Father James Ray. Despite warnings, Prevorst allegedly approved the move of Ray to a monastery close to a school. SNAP is calling for changes to protect survivors and ensure child safety.
