Campaign Against Hospital-Acquired Infections in Cyprus

Cyprus is launching a campaign against hospital-acquired infections and the overconsumption of antibiotics. The Ministry of Health has prepared 20 guidelines for managing these infections, as recent statistics show that infection rates are significantly higher than the European average. Specifically, the situation has worsened for MRSA between 2019 and 2023. The aim is to enhance cooperation and compliance among healthcare professionals.
