Containment of Wildfire in Paphos Following Extensive Efforts

The wildfire in the Paphos district was contained after hours of firefighting efforts and burned an area of 1.5 square kilometers. The fire, which originated from the landfill in Ayia Marinouda, spread quickly due to strong winds, causing damage to agricultural crops and infrastructure. Ten communities were left without electricity, and environmental destruction in the area was reported. The causes of the wildfire will be investigated later.
