Increase in Card Usage in Cyprus in 2024

Cypriots are gradually using less cash and prefer card payments. In the first half of 2024, card transactions increased by 9%, with total value rising by 8%. The most common payments include those to payment institutions, the government, and grocery shopping. Card payments are mainly made in physical stores rather than online.
