Installation of Smart Traffic Lights at the Hospital Roundabout

Transport Minister Alexis Vafeadis announced the installation of smart traffic lights at the roundabout near the Nicosia General Hospital to improve traffic flow. According to measurements, this installation has reduced travel time by up to 7 minutes per vehicle. The traffic lights adjust their settings in real-time based on traffic demand. The decision to install them was made following a traffic study that confirmed their necessity. Their operation has proven effective in managing traffic in the area.
