6.0 Magnitude Earthquake Near Turkey

A 6.0 magnitude earthquake occurred in Turkey near the city of Balikesir. The epicenter was located at a depth of 11 kilometers. The earthquake was felt in the eastern Aegean islands, particularly in Chios and Mytilene, as well as in Istanbul. There are no reports of serious injuries or damages. Initial assessments indicate it was a significant but not devastating quake.
