Minister of Labor Meetings to Discuss ATU
September 13, 2025
The Minister of Labor is planning meetings with employers and trade unions to restart discussions about the ATU. Despite stating that it will be granted in January 2026, he intends to reach conclusions as soon as possible. Employer organizations have opposed the proposal, while trade unions believe their positions are already known. The Minister has the support of the Presidency, and many workers seem to favor a broader implementation of the ATU. Social partners are now waiting for further clarifications from the government regarding its stance.
