However, Tatar appeared to avoid progress by criticizing President Christodoulides and emphasizing the injustice faced by Turkish Cypriots. He highlighted the need for recognition of Turkish Cypriot sovereignty. The resolution of the Cyprus issue does not seem likely in the near future.
