Academics Call for Cessation of Collaborations with Israel

A group of 142 academics from Cypriot universities is calling for an immediate cessation of all collaborations with Israel due to human rights violations and war crimes. The signatories highlight serious charges regarding the situation of civilians in Gaza, including the death toll among children. They state that they cannot remain passive in such circumstances and reference international decisions and reports. They suggest that Cypriot academics follow the lead of other international institutions that have already disconnected from Israel. The letter is addressed to the rectors of universities in Cyprus.
