Cyprus Prepared to Resume Negotiations

Following the trilateral meeting in New York, the Cypriot government expressed President Christodoulides' readiness to restart negotiations regarding the Cyprus issue. Nicosia is calling on the Turkish side to proceed and outlining key points for the negotiation process. The Foreign Minister emphasized the importance of the UN Secretary-General's statement regarding resuming talks from the point of interruption at Crans Montana. It is also noted that the election of a Turkish Cypriot leader will influence the process. The Cypriot government is prepared for substantive discussions and collaboration with whoever is elected.
