Delays in Investigations for Golden Passport Citizenship

Four years after the delivery of the Nicolaou report on the golden passports, police investigations are still ongoing. Delays are mainly due to required information from abroad and the complexity of the cases. Although some cases have been filed in courts, the number is much lower than expected. More than 100 cases have been referred to the police for scrutiny. The processes are complicated, and the investigations continue indefinitely.
