Investment in Police and Prison Upgrades Planned for 2026

The 2026 police budget includes significant funding for the photo enforcement system and PhotoRadar List. Specifically, €6.5 million will be allocated for cameras and related software to help monitor traffic violations. Additionally, funding is planned for police infrastructure and security improvements. Among other things, there will be funds for building juvenile detention facilities and services for driver education. Support for prisons with new technology is also part of the funding program.
