Meeting on Greece-Cyprus Electricity Interconnection: Prospects and Cooperation

Energy Minister George Papathanasiou announced that a meeting between the regulators of Cyprus and Greece will be organized to resolve regulatory issues concerning the electricity interconnection project. The video conference will also include the EU Energy Commissioner, Dan Jørgensen. This meeting is expected to help advance the project's processes, which are scheduled for the upcoming weeks. The minister emphasized that the discussion took place in a positive atmosphere, confirming both governments' commitment to progress. Economic aspects will be considered as regulatory requirements are addressed.
