Ceasefire in Gaza for the Release of Hostages

The Israeli government approved a ceasefire to facilitate the release of all hostages in Gaza, as announced by Prime Minister Netanyahu. The agreement includes the withdrawal of Israeli forces and the release of around 2,000 Palestinian prisoners. The U.S. will oversee the implementation of the ceasefire by sending 200 troops to the region. This ceasefire is the initial step in executing a peace plan. Most of the cabinet ministers voted in favor of the agreement.
