Comet 3I/ATLAS: Discovery and Visibility from Earth
October 29, 2025
The comet 3I/ATLAS is a mysterious interstellar body recently discovered by astronomers in Chile. It is believed to be older than our solar system and moves in an orbit that does not gravitationally bind it to the Sun. There is a possibility it could be visible from Earth in mid-December if it survives the Sun's tidal forces. Comets, when approaching the Sun, become illuminated and lose energy, making them difficult to observe. There are rumors that it could be related to extraterrestrial life, but opinions vary.
