Archdiocese to Establish School in Feneromeni Building

Archbishop Georgios announced that a private school of the Archdiocese will be established in the Feneromeni building, following the failure of an agreement with the University of Cyprus. The agreement collapsed due to the Ministry of Finance's refusal to fund the construction of a new building. The Archbishop stated that the University does not need the building for another school, but for research programs. The new school will focus on enhanced teaching hours in the Greek language and history. This represents a shift in the building's use, which was previously intended for the Architecture School.
