Federica Mogherini Arrested in Fraud Investigation

Former Vice President of the Commission, Federica Mogherini, has been arrested in an investigation by the European Prosecutor's Office regarding potential fraud involving EU funds. The case involves a program for training new diplomats funded by the EU. Belgian authorities executed searches at the offices of the European External Action Service and the College of Europe. The investigation focuses on irregularities in the distribution of funding. A total of three individuals have been arrested, including Mogherini and two of her associates.
