UAE Proposals for Energy Cooperation Projects in Cyprus

The United Arab Emirates propose projects to develop Cyprus as an energy hub in the region and towards Europe. The visit of the UAE President to Cyprus was preceded by intensive discussions on investments. Energy cooperation is a top priority for the UAE in Cyprus, with a plan for a Strategic Energy Partnership. There is interest in investments in various sectors, such as an LNG terminal, underwater cables, and renewables. Additionally, a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed to establish a Joint Business Council between Cyprus and the UAE.
