Cyprus Presidency Focuses on an Autonomous Union

The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, presented the program for the Cyprus Presidency of the EU Council. The motto of the presidency is "Autonomous Union Open to the World". The presidency will focus on five main pillars regarding security, competitiveness, and the values of the EU. The President considers this day a milestone for Cyprus and Europe. The official logo of the presidency is inspired by the art of Lefkara embroidery.
