Strong Winds and Temperature Drop Expected on New Year's Day

The new year will begin with strong winds reaching up to 8 Beaufort and a yellow warning issued by the Meteorological Department. Very strong winds are expected to impact mainly the southwestern, western, and northern parts of the island. Isolated rain and snow are also anticipated in higher regions. Temperatures will range around 14 degrees in the interior and 3 degrees in the mountains. From Friday, temperatures are expected to drop below the average seasonal levels.
