No Charges for Public Space Use by Private Companies
January 2, 2026
Private companies operating in telecommunications and internet do not pay fees for using public space to install cables. The Minister of the Interior stated that the state does not receive revenue from these permissions. The private companies only cover the excavation and restoration costs of public space. The legislation does not provide for the imposition of user fees for public space. The relevant authorities for granting permits are municipalities and provincial administrations, depending on the area.
