Nicolás Maduro Faces Charges in New York Court

Nicolás Maduro, the ousted president of Venezuela, will appear in court in New York to face charges against him. According to U.S. justice, he is primarily accused of narco-terrorism and cocaine trafficking. Additionally, he faces charges of possession of automatic weapons and conspiracy regarding those weapons. Maduro was arrested during a U.S. military operation. The new charges also implicate the First Lady of Venezuela, which was not included in the previous indictment from 2020.
