45-Year-Old Arrested for Stealing the Holy Cross

A 45-year-old Greek Cypriot was arrested for stealing the Holy Cross during the water blessing ceremony. He claimed he took it by mistake while leaving the old port of Limassol. The cross was found in a field where he hid it after learning the police were looking for it. The cross had no significant monetary value and was returned to the church authorities. The man was released but will be summoned to court.
