Two Individuals Charged with Attempted Placement of Explosives

Two defendants will remain in custody until their trial for attempted destruction of property with explosive materials in Limassol. A 36-year-old Greek Cypriot allegedly promised a 44-year-old Sri Lankan €1,000 to plant bombs in a pub and a café. The judge extended their detention due to the risk of reoffending. The 44-year-old admitted his actions during interrogation. The trial is scheduled for mid-February.
