Reorganization of the Statute of the Church of Cyprus

The Holy Synod decided to reorganize the Statute of the Church of Cyprus, considering the Archbishop's proposal to elect Bishops and Metropolitans without the participation of believers. This will allow them to choose from a list prepared by the Synod itself. As a result, the administration of the Paphos Metropolis will be extended for several months until the reorganization is complete. The election process for the Archbishop will remain unchanged, involving the participation of the public.
