January 22, 2026

The Chief of the Cyprus Police, Themistocles Arnaoutis, defended his decision to change the schedule for over 1,000 police officers, stating he will not back down. Although lawmakers requested to suspend the decision until processes are completed, Arnaoutis refused, highlighting that the change is necessary for operational readiness.
