A 4-year-old child died at Makario Hospital, with the death attributed to influenza A. Initially, the child was admitted to Limassol General Hospital, but due to severe symptoms, was transferred to the intensive care unit. Since last December, influenza A has caused 13 other deaths, mostly among the elderly. The spokesperson for OKEPY, Charalambos Charilaou, confirmed the connection between the death and the flu.
