Incident Involving Prisoner at Larnaca Hospital

An incident occurred during the transport of a 27-year-old prisoner to the General Hospital of Larnaca. The prisoner reacted after medical examinations and refused to wear handcuffs, injuring a police officer. The officer sustained a laceration to the head but was discharged after examination. The prisoner was returned to his detention facility. The Larnaca Minor Offenses Department is investigating the matter.
