Inmate Death at Central Prisons Due to Asphyxiation

A 63-year-old Greek Cypriot inmate was found dead in his cell at the Central Prisons. An autopsy revealed that his death was caused by asphyxiation due to food blockage in the airway. Medical services were called immediately after his condition was discovered, but he was pronounced deceased upon arrival. His family was notified right away.
