Arrival of European Experts and Vaccines for Foot-and-Mouth Disease in Cyprus

A team of European experts is arriving in Cyprus tomorrow to combat foot-and-mouth disease. This involves the culling of 13,156 infected animals to prevent the spread of the disease. The Minister of Agriculture confirmed that vaccines are on the way to support the vaccination campaign. Vaccinations will focus on farms within 5-10 kilometers of Oroklini to establish a protection zone. The goal is to prevent further spread of the disease.
